We’re looking for two Initial Assessment Invigilators, one full-time and one part-time.
Job Title: Initial Assessment Invigilator
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 5:00 pm UK Time
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time
Overview:
As an Initial Assessment Invigilator, you will play a pivotal role in conducting and assessing learners’ initial levels of English through online assessments via Zoom.
The assessments will be video recorded for documentation and quality assurance purposes. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional with teaching experience, proficiency in English at an Advanced level, and either a teaching qualification or a BA in English Language. Training will be provided, and the invigilator will be equipped with a professional Zoom account and email address.
Key Responsibilities:
Online Assessment Invigilation:
• Conduct initial English assessments for learners using Zoom.
• Ensure the smooth and secure running of online assessments.
• Provide clear instructions to candidates during the assessment.
Video Recording:
• Record assessment sessions to maintain documentation and quality standards.
• Follow established procedures for video recording and storage.
Professional Communication:
• Maintain professional communication with candidates throughout the assessment process.
• Address any technical issues promptly and professionally.
Working Hours:
• Adhere to the specified working hours from Monday to Friday during the UK time zone.
Training:
• Participate in training sessions to familiarize yourself with assessment procedures.
Stay updated on any changes or improvements to the assessment process.
Provided Resources:
• Utilize the provided professional Zoom account for assessment sessions.
• Use the provided professional email address for work-related communication.
Teaching Experience:
• Leverage teaching experience to deliver clear instructions and guidance during assessments.
• Perform minimal marking of assessments as required.
Qualifications:
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Teaching qualification (e.g., Celta, Delta, PGCE) or a BA in English Language.
• Prior teaching experience, especially in language assessment.
• Familiarity with online platforms, specifically Zoom.
